Rehearsal room FAQ, Stamford Brook, W6

Rooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 have a drum kit with cymbals, two guitar amps, a bass amp and a PA with 2 SM58s. Room 5 has everything except a drum kit at the moment. All rooms have air con and free WiFi.

From £16 an hour on weekdays before 5pm. Evenings and weekends cost a bit more and Room 4 is £1 an hour extra. The Rates page has the lot.

Sessions run any day between 11am and 11pm, and we open around each day's bookings. Call 0208 747 1116 before dropping in without a booking.

We open around each day's bookings. Band bookings need to be within 1 hour of any others that day, and solo sessions within 1 hour of a band. With under 24 hours to go, the day needs another booking already, and you can't start before its first session. If you need a greyed out time, call 0208 747 1116 and we'll see what we can do.

Yes, with at least 2 hours' notice, as long as the day already has a booking. Your session has to start during or after the first one, and within 1 hour of a booking. If the day is empty, call 0208 747 1116.

You choose when you book online. Pay now by card, or pay on the day by cash or card. If you pay on the day, we save a card with Stripe but take nothing from it when you book. It's only charged if you cancel under 48 hours before, or don't turn up. If you pay now, cancel 48 hours or more before and you're refunded in full. Later than that, or if you don't turn up, the payment is kept.

Check your email, because a confirmation means you're booked in. If you try to book the same time again, the site will tell you that you already have it. Still not sure? Call 0208 747 1116.

Either way a card is saved when you book online. You can move a session up to 48 hours before, to a date that costs the same, but it can't be refunded. Under 48 hours a session can only be cancelled, and if you haven't paid online its price is charged to your saved card. Yes. Solo practice is £10 an hour on weekdays before 5pm and £13 an hour at other times. Solo sessions run during a band booking or within 1 hour of one.

Each room with a kit has a set, first come, first served. Bring your own if you can, so you're not caught short.

Yes. We hire out 3 Yamaha P45 keyboards, plus an electric guitar and a bass. It's £15 per instrument for the whole session. Stand and cables included. You can take one of each and up to 3 keyboards per booking, and pick them when you book.

If you hire an instrument, its stand and cables are included. For your own gear, bring cables if you can, because we can't promise we'll have everything. Extra mics and stands are at the office, first come, first served.

Room 5. It has no drum kit at the moment, so there's clear floor, and it's upstairs.

Room 4 is the largest room at 5.1m x 6.8m and takes up to 12. The others take up to 6. For more than that, call us.

Rooms 1, 2 and 3 are downstairs, so there are no stairs to carry gear up. Pick "Yes" when the booking page asks if you need a downstairs room.

Yes. We're at Stamford Brook, W6, about 100m from Chiswick High Road. Stamford Brook sits between Chiswick and Hammersmith. Turnham Green and Ravenscourt Park are one stop either way on the District line and Shepherd's Bush is up Goldhawk Road, so we're easy to reach from across West London.

District line to Stamford Brook, then 2 minutes on foot. The Find us page has the exact route out of the station.

There is a paid car park on Welstead Way, 1 minute's walk away, and pay and display on Prebend Gardens, free after 7pm and on Sundays. You can't park in front of the studio; that space is for loading only.
